Last updated: July 28, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CommentDefender ("CommentDefender", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use commentdefender.com and the CommentDefender application (the "Service").
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, and authentication details.
- Connected platform data: Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts you connect, and the comments and messages we process to provide moderation and replies.
- Usage data: log data, device/browser information, and product analytics.
3. How we use information
To operate the Service: moderate comments, draft and send replies, provide the unified inbox and analytics, secure accounts, and communicate with you. We do not sell personal data.
4. Facebook & Instagram (Meta) data
We access Facebook and Instagram data through the Meta Graph API only with your authorization and only to provide the Service. We comply with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We process new comments and messages from the moment a Page is connected; we do not retroactively import historical content.
5. Sharing & sub-processors
We share data with infrastructure and AI sub-processors strictly to operate the Service (e.g., hosting, database, queue, and LLM providers). A current list is available on request at [email protected].
6. Data retention & deletion
We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request access to or deletion of your data, and disconnecting a Page stops further processing. Data deletion requests: [email protected].
7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and may use analytics cookies with consent.
